The melding of environments in Wisconsin creates a unique blend of wilderness
and civilization. It is also a true melting pot of ethnic heritages. The top
third of Wisconsin is forestland, dotted with 14,000 glacial lakes stocked
with muskies, crappies, bass, and northern pike. The rest of the state is similarly
blessed with great scenic beauty. Madison, the state capital, lies in the heart
of Wisconsin. Not far from Madison are the resorts and theme parks of the Wisconsin
Dells. (Courtesy of Rand McNally http://www.randmcnally.com)
